We tried not to make too many stops along the way, but we had to get out every now and then to stretch our legs. One of the first stops in Utah was sooooo cold. Alana was in her jammies so we wrapped her in her blanket.
It was COOOOOOOLD! Passing throught Utah it was 17 degrees. Madness!
Our second stop we made sure to bundle up Alana so we could get out by the River. It was so amazingly beautiful!
Just the colors of the trees was amazing in it's self. She was a happy girl to get out of the car!
We meet a couple that had 2 Newfanland dogs. They were SOOOO Big! But Beautiful. 200 pounds each. Loving, sweet, super soft dogs! Alana loved them and kept trying to kiss them!
She enjoyed the time out the car running around dancing!
And smiling!
This picture is of the mountains as we drove by. They have so many beautiful trees in different colors all over! Patches of green, yellow, orange, red. I can't even describe how beautiful Colorado is!
The last 200 miles to Ashley's was the best. On the road, to the right hand side is the River and then Rocks and streams and rapids. The whole way, so fun and so much to see..
Over 14 hour later.... Aunt Ashley and Uncle David's house!!! They just an amazing house! All their own to take care of! Their back yard is to die for! Seriously! Alana loved playing out there in the tall grass and the dirt!
We had a pretty bad night our first night there. Alana was all jacked up on time and disoriented. She's not a big fan of her pack and play when she doesn't sleep in her crib. Bad night, but we got through it and she woke up smiley and happy! Ashley and I took her to the park where she ran around and hopefully she'll sleep good tonight. She loves the cold air. The sun has been out, no snow or storm, beautiful sun, but cold.
Ashley and David saved their house warming party for when we came out :) Thanks! But their back yard hadn't been moved for awhile so the grass was super tall, Alana was getting lost. So David pulled out his lawn mower and mowed the law. It was a big event! We all sat and watched... haha... Ashley and David just bought their first trash can today and filled it with trash so they had to dump the grass trimmings into plastic bags. It was quite the event to watch! They filled up 6 bags of trimmings. That's how tall the grass was!
David, loving his new grass. Hopefully he loves it as much in 2 months from now when he has to be out there mowing it every week! Their house is so beautiful and in such a great place! I'll post more pics of it soon! Congrats on the great house guys, I'm so jealious!!!
We've got lots of plans for the next few days we are here, house warming party, trip to the mountains, trails, all kinds of stuff. For now we are just enjoying the company. Alana is loving her Aunt Ashley and Uncle David. Oh, and the kitties... she's learning a lot about being gental to kitties. The weather has just been amazing! jacket weather for sure, but it's so nice out. Cold as hell, but the sun is shinning! It's days like this that make me want to move out here.... Check in later with you guys! Love to all!
