The next few months are so busy. This summer just wouldn't be complete without family, birthday's, bridal showers and baby showers! But first Alana is 11 months old...... just one short month until she is a whole year old!! We have some fun festives lined up of course! Our great Photographer/Friend Angel is taking her 1 year old pictures and I bought all kinds of fun stuff for her to dress up in! On June 3rd we are taking her to Disneyland for her official 1st birthday! It's the only way we know how to do it around here!!! Disneyland's theme this year is, "What will you celebrate?", DUH, it's perfect for her day! Her big 1st Birthday Party festives will be that Saturday! We are having a big birthday party for her. I'm making all kinds of centerpieces and favors for the party! We are having a company come in to BBQ so Daddy doesn't have to stand at the grill all day, and we will have lots of family and friends to help her celebrate the day! Or to help us celebrate that we all made it through the first year :)
Now I know I am full of great ideas and people LOVE to steal them... but here is a great one I came up with that is another way to celebrate Alana's 1st birthday, SO DON'T JACK IT! We are going to plant a tree in her name. We will take a picture by it that day when they are both starting off their first year of life! Then every year we will bring Alana back to it on or around her birthday and get the same picture to see the growth of Alana and the tree we are going to plant! I've never heard anyone do it before like that, but I think it will be such a cool thing to do. Can't wait to get those pictures every year!
Alana is taking about 5 steps at a time. From the table to the couch or from mommy to daddy... she's not full on walking yet, but pretty close to it! I'm sure she'll make a lot of progress between now and her birthday! How exciting!
