Fried food and more fried food!

Every year we make our way to the OC fair to graze our way through all the yummy food! Crystal made me promise to wait until she got back from Hawaii to go, so Friday night we headed out!
Every year we find more, different fried things to eat. They'll fry anything these days!
This is my new favorite one... fried s'mores! This was by far the best fried food we had that night!

This is a zucchini weenie. Yep, just what it sounds like. A hot dog wrapped in Zucchini deep fried like a corn dog! It was really good!

Deep fried whitecastle hamburger... weird but good!

Alana didn't really get the concept of taking a picture in the cut outs, she just wanted to see what she was sticking her head through.

She makes this tiny little sqeaky voice when she see's animals or anything cute. It's pretty funny.

We watched the pig show, Alana loved to see the pigs do all the neat tricks.

Then back to some more food. We dared to try the Chocolate covered bacon... yep, bacon. It tasted kind of like a chocolate covered pretzel, salty and sweet.

The usual suspects.

Corn on the cob with cheese and chili! YUM!

This was the least X-rated picture I could put of Crystal and this Zucchini Weenie. The guys standing next to us were taking the same pictures that I was of Crystal. Pretty funny. I'm sure they are up on their myspace or some place on the internet.

Soft serve... ummm... my favorite!

We also had many other things that we didn't get pictures of like cheese on a stick, funnel cakes, beef jerkey, beer, wine... I'm sure the pictures would have been blurry if I had them anyway. But we had a great time and can't wait to go back next year to find out what else they are frying up for us!!

Random Pictures Thursday!

These are just some random pictures that I've taken with my cell phone. Not the best quality pictures, but easy to take when I'm driving or don't have my camera in my hand.

Alana is getting so good at saying "cheese" for the camera! She loves that she sits facing forward these days and takes it all in!!

She likes to help me with dishes! She really loves to be in the kitchen with me when I'm cleaning or cooking. We have a cabinet with all of our tuberware in it and she will spend hours taking it all out, pulling the lids off and putting them back on. She knows how to amuse herself when it's time to cook dinner!

She's getting WAY better at using a fork and spoon. Still working on it, but better then before.

Here are a few cute pictures of my little Lexie! She will be 1 next month! Can't believe it's been a whole year since she was born!

haha.. crazy mommy!

No, no, no....

So I just want to say that I'm NOT pregnant... Since my last post I've had so many people comment to me about it. That's not what I meant, sorry! I think it's so funny! Trust me, you blog readers would be the first to know! (Well maybe about the 15th) but close enough!! And for everyone who is wondering and asking... when are we going to have another? I have 2 kids right now 5 days a week because I babysit and I'm happy with that for now! I think we are good for awhile! PLUS... still trying to work off the baby fat from Alana, and as most of you know, I'd like to get down several pounds before I can run the pounds back up! We are going to New York in April for my 30th Birthday and I'd like to be able to walk around for miles and not have swollen feet... and also be able to drink! So maybe after that. But thank you for all the excitement!

I was just stating that Alana is being such a big girl now and wants to do everything on her own. She holds her baby dolls like babies. She's just practising for when she does some time in the future become a big sister!

Fearless

Alana seems fearless sometimes! It's always good to be fearless, but I'd like for her to have a little fear of falling 5 feet down when she's climbing up the stairs at the park about to be out of my reach!

This girl I swear! She just climbs up the stairs to the top and stands up there. She loves to be high up. See the angle? I'm not super close to her to just grab her as she tries to jump off. I know she is a tuff girl, but I don't need any trips to the ER in our near future. She thinks she can do all the same stuff the little 5 year old boys are doing. She'll soon realize she can't... yet...

It was the funniest thing, there were a few older boys there, and they were having a little stand off with the girls. The girls sat on one side and the boys on another and just looked at each other for a good 2 minutes. No one saying anything. So weird!

I see you!

Yep, she was just gonna surf down the slide until I grabbed her and sat her on her bottom. She wasn't happy she had to sit down.

I think she's mastered the slide though!

It's so crazy to me to see how fast she is growing up. I know she is just a little over a year old now, (15 months for those of you who need to count) but man, she tries to act a lot older then she is. I think she's practicing to be a big sister....

Take this pink ribbon off my eyes....

After months and months of waiting... it was finally time to go see NO DOUBT!!!!!!! Crystal had gotten me tickets for my birthday! We tailgated in the parking lot before the concert!

Paramore was opening for them. When I picked out the tickets online I had NO IDEA how good the seats were going to be! We were SOOO excited when we saw how close we were to the stage! Gwen was going to be super close!!!! I thought I might cry!!

Drinking... have a great time before the show!

I only know a few songs from Paramore, but they rocked it! Had me and Crystal jumping up and down! That girl has a voice!

Sitting in back of us there was a girl that was pregnant and had a shirt on that she made. It said "My name is Gwen" and had an arrow pointing to her pregnant tummy! It was my Angels shirt idea that I rocked last summer when I was pg. Except mine said "Mommy's future Angels fan". I had to take a picture with her cause I thought it was so cute!

Then it was time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My zoom worked SO great, but I didn't need it all that much because we were super close to her!

They put on such a great show! Had me jumping up and down with my hands in the air the ENTIRE show! Screaming at the top of my lungs... sorry peeps in front of me!

Gwen is so hot and I love her! I would give my right arm to just get the chance to meet her!

The girls from "The Sounds" and from "Paramore" came out to rock a song with No Doubt.

Now it's time to say goodbye, to all our company....

I took several video's, but I'm just a girl is my favorite! Gwen sure knows how to put on a great show!

Thank you so much to Crystal for the tickets and everything else the night brought along! I had such an amazing time! Can't wait to go see them again!!

Gymbo #2

Gymboree Play & Music class #2! This family fun class was in the big Gym room with all kinds of stuff for the girls to play with! Tunnels, balls, bubbles, balance beams, anything you can think of that is fun, it is in this room. Very unstructured and chaotic class! But the girls had a good time!

I couldn't get Alana to crawl through anything fun, but she was all about playing with the balls. This girls loves bouncing balls of all sizes!

I twirled Kali around on this, I think it was her favorite part!

Tip, Tip toes to grab the balls at the bottom of the bucket!

You can't really tell, but Alana had the biggest smile while looking through this tunnel. She wouldn't go in it, but close enough!

Kali in Mid-air!

Who doesn't LOVE bubbles? These girls sure do!

This is "Gymbo" the clown. He is kind of the Gymboree mascot, if you will. At the end of the class they play a song and everyone claps their hands and one of the employee's attaches Gymbo to her feet and arms and walks around with Gymbo and gives all the kids a hug and a kiss. Kids were lined up for this. Cute clown? Or creepy?

You can't really tell, but Alana FREAKED out when they tried to get her to hug it. I tried to snap a picture of a cute hug with a clown and she pushed him away and screamed and came running to me crying... It was so funny and sad all at the same time.... If she is scarred for life and ends up hating clowns, it's gonna be Gymbo's fault. Not that anyone loves clowns, but for a 1 year old and the clown is bigger then her? ... not so much.

Beach Pics

I told you she likes to eat sand...
She also likes to boogy board apparently! Jen, she's ready!!!

Oldies but goodies!

Thanks Amy for the great pictures of Alana! You are a great photographer and UNLIKE your sister, you send them to me!! Thank you again!

Gymbo Music

Today I took the girls to a Gymboree Play and Music class! They had so much fun! We are going again on Friday to a different class. But today was a music class where the girls got to bang on drums, run through bubbles, dance around and just be goofy!

Alana wasn't 100% sure of the class.

But she loved the bubbles!

Kali sang a solo from "Mama Mia" for the class.

She loved that Microphone.

Alana liked banging the sticks together to the song.

They got to dance around with scarfts.

It was a great expierence for them and I really look forward to Friday where they will play in the jungle gym. I think we'll end up signing up for classes if they love it as much as I think they do! Pays to work for Gymboree!!
