Our new Little Mermaid!

Today we went swimming for the very first time! She LOVED the water and only cried for the first few seconds as she was getting used to the water. I even put her under water and she was ok with that too! She just sat there with her eyes open trying to figure out what was going on! And ended up falling asleep in my arms as I was splashing around. There will be a lot more days in the pool this summer now that I know she loves it!

My niece Ellie is getting so big, she'll be 3 in August and she is enjoying helping me with Alana. She loves her "Milliana Rose" (As she calls her).

Here are some pictures I wanted to make sure everyone saw! Alana is growing so much every week! On Tuesday she'll be a whole month old already! It's so amazing to see her change every day! Enjoy the pics!

Sea World

Yes, we are knocking all the theme parks out in the first month! Lucky girl! :) Victor got some free tickets from work, and I just can't bring myself to pass them up! It was a nice day in San Diego and we got to walk around the park and watch the shows and just be out! Alana had a good time! We got our Characuture's (sp?) done and they came out too funny not to post! Here are a few pictures!

Alana's 1st trip to Disneyland

Although she slept through most of it, we did manage to get a few pictures in the 2 hours we were there! It was only 98 degree's out... so we didn't stay very long! But she had a good time, and we were able to get out and walk around for awhile! Thank you Auntie Crystal for being a great photographer!

10 pounds 6 ounces!

Today Alana had her first Dr. appt. She's gained weight! She now weighs 10 pounds 6 ounces! She's eating really well! Here are a few new pictures of her! She LOVES to smile! Too bad I can't get her to open those big beautiful eyes all that often!

GO ANGELS!

We took Alana to her first Angels Game! She slept right through the whole thing but must be a good luck charm because we won!

New Edition to our family!

After several hours of lots of fun labor, Alana was just to big and they had to take me into a C-section! Good thing... Baby girl was 9 pounds 13 ounces!!!! She came out with a full head of hair and big rosey cheeks!

They released us from the hospital Friday afternoon and headed home. Victor is being SO helpful with me not being able to do much right now after having surgery. His love for Alana is so strong it makes me cry to see him love her so much!

She likes to sleep... eat and sleep some more. Except at night, but we are working on that! Everyone tries to describe what it feels like to be a mom or have a family... but really, it's just undescribable, but it really is just the most amazing thing in the world to hold her and have her snuggle up to us!

Smalls and Roxy are adjusting to her very nicely. They are very protective of her and anytime she makes a peep, they want to know if she is ok and need to see her at all times! They love their new sister!

Thank you to everyone who sent us beautiful flowers, for all the great emails and prayers and everyone who came to visit Alana. We have had a house full of people since we've been home and we are all loving every minute of it! Between our mom's, sisters and our friends, Alana has had a LOT of love and we've had so much help and love all of you for it!

HOLY MOLY!

Today we had our ultrasound before Alana comes into the world so the Dr. knows how big she really is.... well they say they give you an estimate and they could be a pound off either way, but their estimate today was 9 pounds 4 ounces! HOLY MOLY! Let's pray they are a pound off and she's only 8 something :)

Latest Update

So we are set to be induced on Monday, June 2nd, going into the hospital at 10pm. Which means Alana will be here sometime on Tuesday, June 3rd!! Happy Birthday to her!
To think that next week at this time we will be new parents, home with a newborn makes me cry! Of course I'm pregnant, so what doesn't make me cry at this point... but seriously! I know people do it every day all the time, but when it happens to you, it's just so crazy! We are so excited and going to try and take it easy these next couple of days, as it's our last to relax without a baby! Wow, how life is going to change!!

Thank you for everyone's emails! It's been really crazy being off of work. It's the first time since I was 16 that I didn't have a job to get up and go to. I have to admit, it's kinda nice. I've been trying to fill my days with small little things to do so I don't get too bored but so I still have time for naps and resting! Smalls and Roxy (our dogs) are loving me being home. They make me lazy though because all they do is sleep all day. Which at this point is good for me! Oh how life is going to change for all of us very soon! Those pups have no idea what is coming to them... haha.

Well I will keep everyone posted when she arrives on Tuesday! Please continue to pray for a fast and painless delivery :) If that's at all possible!

Check out our Maternity pictures we took a few weeks ago! Angel is a great photographer that we found through one of our friends. (Thank you Michelle) She did a great job! Although it's hard to think pictures of me that big are cute in any way, it won't be to long from now that I'll be wishing she was back in my stomach I'm sure! Enjoy!

Alana Rose Gonzalez

Looks like we are ahead of schedule! From the Ultrasound I had on Tuesday it looks like at 35 weeks she is "about" 7 pounds already. They don't know that for sure, but that is their best guess (Give or take a pound). The Doctor is going to induce me in my 38th week because they don't want me to go full term and have a 12 pound baby! (Thank God) That puts us about the 31st of May, so by, on or around June 1st she will be here!

Attached is the latest picture of her! She is so big they could only fit just her Profile in the picture. You are looking at the left side of her face. From what we can see she's already got Victor's big beautiful lips! (YEAH)We are both doing really well and very healthy! She is just a BIG baby! I will keep everyone updated after she arrives.
