Halloween

Halloween came and went so fast this year! I was really looking forward to taking Alana out because last year she wasn't feeling so good so we didn't go out Trick or Treating! Plus this year she just understands everything so much better and is SO MUCH bigger then last year!

Alana had several options this year but the final decision was good ol' Minnie Mouse! She wore it so well too!
V's niece's and nephews came over to trick or treat with us so Victor did their make up!

Cousins!
I got in on the action too! Victor painted my face! I've seen lots of fun faces on my friend Angels Blog so I thought I'd let Victor try his hand at it! Turned out great!
We let Alana see it every step of the way so she wouldn't be scared and she did such a good job!

Daddy and his little Minnie Mouse.

We weren't out for that long, Alana's legs can only go so far. But I think we have a BIG fan of Halloween. Lets be honest what kid doesn't like dressing up and going to get candy? But while we were out she kept saying "I love Halloween". I love Trick or Treating. I love pumpkins. I love Candy... She loved Halloween and did so well. I was very proud of her!

Fun

She hasn't decided on what she wants to be for Halloween yet. A Ballerina, Snow White or Minnie Mouse... she has a week to decide! In the meantime she loves to dress up and dance around the house!

I tried to show her to put your hands above your head like a Ballerina, she looks more like she's trying to be a monster!

It's been rainey for so long now, we had to get out and take a walk when the rain broke finally!

Girls Night!!!

Jacquie and Donovan were going to a Halloween party so Jacquie asked me to watch the girlys! Chrissy also had plans and asked if I'd watch Kali so we decided to have a big slumber party at my house Saturday night! Poor Victor was out number by tons of girls!

We had so much fun!! It's nights like this that make me love being an Aunt so much!!! I have the best sweetest girls!

Very Irish girl!

They ran around in circles for at least an hour after our big Speghetti dinner and chocolate cupcakes!!

Then Ellie sat and read to the girls.

My sweet girls!

I love these girls! They love their Aunt MeMe! This is the best picture by far!

The two biggest girls!

Bed time could not come fast enough. We blew up the blow up mattress and got everyone's blankets, and sat down to watch a movie.

Toy Story was on the top of the list as they snuggled in together! I can see this same picture years from now at another slumber party at my house!

The next morning the sun came out and it was a beautiful day!

Thank you to Auntie Crystal and Melissa for coming over to help. Thanks babe for putting up with all 8 girls in the house.

Coming soon...

In April we did the Relay for Life in Murrieta where a whole team of us walked in a Relay for 24 hours. You camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Relays are 24 hours in length; representing the reality that cancer never sleeps. By participating, we honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight cancer in our community.

This coming year, 2011, I'd like to do it in Corona where mom lived for 30 years! Relay in Corona is in June so we have plenty of time but I'd like to start a little bit of the planning, trying to get a team together, think of fundraisers we could do.

I'd like to come up with a team name. Last year, one of my best friends, Jennifer let us walk with her on her team Jenny's penny's in Murrieta. It was a great success and a really fun time. We are looking to start our own team this year in Corona!

So pretty soon I'll need:
•A team name
•A team of people

Please let me know if you'd be interested in joining our team for the June 2011 Relay for Life in Corona, I'll give you all the details later! You can come for a few hours or stay the whole 24 hours, it's up to you!
Yes, Cancer did take my mom and that will be the main reason I do this, but everyone knows someone who has lost their battle to Cancer. Or someone who is a survivor of Cancer. Cancer effects just about every one in one way or another!

Please let me know if you have a suggestion for a team name or if you're interested in more info!!

Talent

A talent for drawing is something I just don't have a whole lot of, but envy people who do! My husband has a major talent for drawing and capturing images and feelings, it's amazing! I just came across some pictures I took of them and thought I'd share them! He doesn't do it as a career, but really should!! He loves to share his talent and techniques with Alana. She eats it all up! She loves to draw and paint with Victor and it warms my heart to see them share the love for it! Anyway... here are some of the one's I have pictures of... I'm lucky to be married to such a talented man.

Thoughts for the day

Sometimes life doesn't go according to plan... Sometimes it's better
-A wise girl once said

There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game,
it's easy!
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time,
it's easy!
All you need is L.O.V.E!

Happy Friday!

Today at work my boss got this really cool card from a random vendor. It says on the cover, Bury This! As she tosses it in the trash I pull it back out and say what is this?? So I read the bottom of the card and it says: Plant this card under a thin layer of soil and water daily. Seeds will germinate in 2-3 weeks! Pretty cool right?
Happy Friday, leaving for a weekend in Laughling with my cousin! Drinks by the pool are needed!!!!

Disneyland

Saturday we woke up and Victor surprised us with a trip to Disneyland! Alana asks to go ALL the time, and she goes every couple months. Saturday morning it was gloomy yet hot. Then right before we left for Disneyland it started to rain.... Needless to say, I packed shorts, sweaters and an umbrella... weird crazy weather this week!

It was Gay Day in Anaheim this week! Disneyland was full of happy people with red shirts on! I thought it was funny when they all got onto the pirate ship at the same time!

Alana is so in love with the carousel, she could ride that over and over again all day long!

On our way over to Tom Sayers Island it poured rain on us for a few minutes, but then the sun came out and stayed out!

We had another great family day! It got really hot out there and really muggy so we didn't stay all day, but we got our fun in for the day and then headed home for a nap!
