6 days and counting!!!

That's right, 6 days till my baby is 1 years old. *tear*

My sweet baby girl that is now such a BIG GIRL is talking and walking! Here is a little video I caught of her walking around. She doesn't really want to crawl anymore unless she needs to get there super fast, but she's up and walking around like crazy!

She understands so many words now and is trying to say so many of them too. She says more when she wants more to eat. We are working on "more please". She says ball and knows what it is, and button. Any words we try to teach her she just picks up and tries to say them! God knows I've been talking to her since the day I knew she could hear me in the womb, but it's incredible the sounds she mimic's and the words she repeats! Alana is a little monkey already climbing on EVERYTHING she can get onto. She's taken many dives, (head first) off the couch when I'm not looking... Hopefully she is learning fast enough so we don't have to make any trips to the hospital anytime soon!

Happy Birthday Amanda!

Friday night was Jacquie's best friend Amanda's Birthday so we all took her out dancing at our favorite place!!

Cheese... dorks.

Hmmm... Never seen this picture a MILLION times before.

Weekend fun!

Today we got up early and went to Church where Victor accompanied his nephew Poloito, in his first communion. Victor was asked to be his Padrino which in like his "mentor". He was really honored to stand by Poloito's side. We were up so early that we had to wake Alana up to get ready and leave and she wasn't very happy about that. She was a tired girl for the rest of the day!

Victor and his nephew Poloito.

Since it was such a nice day out, after church we headed out to pool for some fun in the sun! Auntie Crystal joined us!

Alana was decked out in her Minnie sunglasses and bathing suit! Happy to be outside in the sun!

Victor took her in the pool for a bit to splash around, but it was pretty cold. We wrapped her up in the towel and she loved having it over her head!

Take some time to stop and smell the roses!

Today we went to SunCal to visit my former co-workers and to meet Auntie Crystal for lunch! It was so nice to see everyone that I haven't seen in awhile and for everyone to see Alana and tell me how beautiful she is! I miss all my peeps there! When we got home, we took a walk around and found some pretty flowers to pick and to smell. I recently taught Alana how to "smell". So we always need to find new things to smell!

She also found the water and had to point it out to me!
She LOVES the water and can never get enough of it!

Family pictures

My brother and family were down from Utah this past weekend and it was a great chance to get everyone together for some family pictures! So I arranged a time and place and dress code :). Angel the BEST photographer EVER came to take our pictures!! Check a few of them out on her website! She is so great at what she does, if you have a wedding, if you are pregnant, or want family pics... or really anything... she's the best at what she does!!! (Michelle, I can never thank you enough for turning me onto her!!)

Once I get the CD from Angel, I'll post some more shots! Enjoy!

Drunken Sailor?

t-minus 19 days and walking better then ever! Today she showed me what she could do several times. She just started to walk on her own more then 4 steps at a time, today she cleared more then half of our living room. I'm as ready as possible. The only video I could get of her was walking away from me.... sad, I know... Hopefully I'll be able to get her to walk at the park this weekend when we take our family pictures!

365 day of blogging!!!!

365 of bloggin, 151 posts, 490 pictures, 10 videos, 92 comments, 2 weddings, 3 babies, lots of friends gained, a few friends lost... Alana's first EVERYTHING! This has been my blogging life for the last 365 days!

One year ago today after seeing my friend Breanne's family blog, I decided to start one because it would be the best way to keep everyone updated on Alana and all the newest things she was doing. Good call on my part!!! All of my family and friends check on us all the time through the blog. People who are far away or right down the street get to see all the latest news with the Gonzalez family! I'd have to say I'm addicted. I take pictures half the time (because I'm Obsessed with taking pictures) but also because I can put them on my blog for everyone to see.

I've seen some amazing blogs on Blogger and some I never care to see again but I have tons of people I check on almost every day to see whats new in their life! If you don't have a blog, you should really start one! They are fun and a great way to communicate or just vent about whatever is on your mind!

I want to thank everyone who reads and leaves me comments so I know you are out there! I hope I've done a good job at keeping you as part of our life! When Alana turns 1 in 21 days I'm going to print out every single one of my posts and have them bound into a book that Alana can keep forever! It's my way of digital scrap booking. This way when Alana gets old enough to appreciate it, she'll know what was going on all the time and what I was thinking at the time!

I started off my blog a year ago with this picture of Alana when I was 34 weeks pregnant and a few weeks away from a life changing experience I now call Alana Rose!

It really is amazing how fast time flys when you are having fun! Not sure when I'll stop blogging, or if I ever will so I hope you enjoy my posts! Don't forget to leave us a comment so I know you are out there reading!

She BANGS, She BANGS!!!!

Every morning Alana wakes up with this crazy hair style and I have to pull it back out of her face! Her hair is "Bed Head" for sure when she wakes up.

Today we took her down to have her 1st official hair cut. If you've followed my blog, you'll remember that months ago I (myself, at home) cut her wings off on the side of her hair. That was her first hair cut, but it was actually professionaly done today! She did GREAT. She just sat in the chair and played.

She only got her bangs cut so they would be out of her face every day!

What are these people doing to me daddy??
Happy girl with a new hair do! BIG improvement!

My first official Mother's Day!

Last year for Mother's Day the best present I could have had was that healthy "big" baby inside of me! I felt like a mother when she was in my stomach still. But today was my first official Mother's Day with Alana here! I couldn't have asked for a better day. Even though I am a mother this year, my first priority was to spend some time with my own mother. I think it's so important as you get older to tell your mom how much you love her and to thank her for everything. She molded me into the woman, mother and wife I am today. She is my best friend and I couldn't make it in this world without her. (Not only because she gave birth to me, DUH) but because she has always been there for me and helped me through all my good (and bad) decisions. I think Alana will be lucky if I can even be half the mom she is to me!

We got up this morning and went to Church with my parents, sister and niece's and then we all went out for lunch to celebrate! Happy Mother's Day to Jacquie too! She is a single mother of 2 and has her hands full with those cute girlys!

Happy Mother's Day to me!!!

The best Mother's Day present EVER!

We came home from Corona and my wonderful husband let me take a nap while he cleaned the ENTIRE house! (2nd best Mother's Day present EVER). Then we took his parents out to dinner! This is Victor and his mama! She is the reason he was made for me!

And finally, a group shot of us with the in-laws! I really couldn't have asked for better in-laws, I am a very lucky girl.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mama's out there!
**It's not an easy job, but somebody's gotta do it! **

Need I say more?

I love you! Happy Mother's Day!

She's never pulled anyone from a burning building
She's never rocked Central Park to a half a million fans,
screaming out her name
She's never hit a shot to win the game
She's never left her footprints on the moon
She's never made a solo hot air balloon ride,
around the world,
No, she's just your everyday average girl (but)

She's somebody's hero
A hero to her baby with a skinned up knee
A little kiss is all she needs
The keeper of the cheerios
The voice that brings Snow White to life
Bedtime stories every night
And that smile lets her know
She's somebody's hero

She didn't get a check every week like a nine-to fiver
But she's been a waiter, and a cook and a taxi driver
For twenty years, there at home,
until the day her girl was grown
Giving all her love to her was her life's ambition
But now her baby's movin' on, and she'll soon be missin' her
But not today, those are tears of joy runnin' down her face

She's somebody's hero
A hero to her daughter in her wedding dress
She gave her wings to leave the nest
It hurts to let her baby go down the aisle she walks right by
Looks back into her mother's eyes
And that smile lets her know
She's somebody's hero

Thirty years have flown right past
Her daughters' starin' at all the photographs
Of her mother, and she wishes she could be like that
Oh, but she already is

She's somebody's hero
A hero to her mother in a rockin' chair
She runs a brush through her silver hair
The envy of the nursing home
She drops by every afternoon
Feeds her mama with a spoon
And that smile lets her know
Her mother's smile lets her know
She's somebody's hero

Day full of fun, sun and cousins - son!

Aunt Jacquie invited us out to the little water park by her house so today I packed up my 2 girls and headed out to Corona. Some days having 2 girls can be a lot, but it's days like this that I LOVE having the two of them together!
This park was so cool and dedicated to the city of corona from no better place then MIGUELS!!! My favorite place in the world! We had so much fun and everyone enjoyed the sun and the water!

Aunt Jacquie and Lexers!

Cousins!

Kali loved the water and had so much fun!

Had to get a mommy and me shot!

Kali & Ellie

My baby girl in her summer ware!

After a fun filled day in Corona with one set of cousins, we headed to Anaheim to take Kali home and stayed for dinner and playing at Carl's with more cousins! This is the first time that Alana has played in a place like this and she loved every minute of it!

I LOVE her cute smile! It makes me so proud to have made such a beautiful baby!

She even attempted things that were WAY out of her league. But she's a brave girl!

Her sweet cousin's Emily and Madison were there to help her out along the way! I've said it before and I'll say it again but Alana is so lucky to have such sweet cousins on both sides of the family to look up to as she grows up!
My baby girl is growing up so fast!

Before I was a mom....

I got this today from my mama... Thank you, I LOVE IT!

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom ...

May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life

Crafty Mommy!

I LOVE to wear flowers in my hair or behind my ear, it's my most favorite way to wear them! I wanted to buy a few for Alana to start wearing and to wear one on her birthday so I saw some at the mall that were cute, but expensive. So I decided to try to be crafty and made some myself for SUPER cheap! They came out great and I can't wait to make more!

Here is Alana modeling one!

Look at all those teeth! 4 on top and 4 on bottom!

Here is my other beautiful model!

Here are a few of the others I made, I made them on hair clips and baretts so we can both wear them! Not only were these WAY cheaper to make then to buy the one's in the store but these were made with LOVE for my babycakes!
