Spoon time!

Alana is eating a lot of normal food these days, I try to sit her down with us at every meal and pick out something we can cut into small pieces so she can eat. She doesn't really care for the jar baby food anymore now that she knows what else is out there! Here are a few pictures of her trying to feed herself with a spoon.

She knows how it all works but can't seem to get enough into her mouth at once when it all keeps falling off the spoon, so she just gave up and started eating with her hands again! Kinda like me when I first used chop sticks!

Take it or leave it....

This is WHO I AM!
If I live to be a hundred And never see the seven wonders
That'll be alright
If I don't make it to the big leagues, If I never win a Grammy
I'm gonna be just fine
'Cause I know exactly who I am
I am Rose Marie's granddaughter

The spitting image of my father

And when the day is done My momma's still my biggest fan

Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends who love me
And they know just where I stand

It's all a part of me, And that's who I am
So when I make big mistake, When I fall flat on my face
I know I'll be alright
Should my tender heart be broken, I will cry those teardrops knowin'
I will be just fine
'Cause nothin' changes who I am
I am Rose Marie's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done, My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends who love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me, And that's who I am
I'm a saint and I'm a sinner, I'm a loser, I'm a winner
I'm am steady and unstable, I am young but I'm able
I am Rose Marie's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done, My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends who love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me, And that's who I am!

Happy 30th Birthday Jeremy!

April 22nd... Earth Day, our friend Jeremy turned 30, the Angels lost BIG time and ALANA TOOK HER FIRST STEPS!!!!!!! AHHHH!!! Yesterday was a big day!

We went to Jeremy's apartment to celebrate his 30th Birthday before walking over to the stadium for the Angels game. Alana took her first steps by herself, she took 2 steps to Victor and guess who didn't have their camera??? Sook I wiped the tears from my eyes and grabbed the nearest camera to me to take a few pictures. So when I get those pictures from that random camera I'll post them! Put until then, here are some pictures from the game last night!

Alana was all decked out in her Angels jersey that matched mommy and daddy's!

Some day I will get a family picture where she is smiling!

Me, Jill & Jennifer (my long lost sisters)

Me and my walking baby!!!!!!!!!

Alana loved everyone that was with us at the game. She took to so many people so well it was a little scary! She loved Jill and was getting a bit tired in this picture.

She loved Jennifer's hat!

Another moment in time I forgot to mention... She IS wearing an Angels jersey and it didn't even melt her skin!!! Crazy!

This was Alana's adopted mom's last night! Terry and Kelly are 2 sweet ladies I just meet last night and they loved Alana and Alana LOVED them! Terry carried her all the way to the stadium in heels while carrying her beer! ULTIMATE mom! And then they watched her while Victor and I hung out with everyone! Thank you ladies! I'll be calling when I need a babysitter! :)

Jennifer and her long time boy Brian! Mom and dad need some babies already! Get on it!

Alana was laughing so hard at the girls! She was in love with her other family there!

Mom and dad picture time!

Ok, so it was Jeremy's birthday last night and I think this is the only picture I got of him! Sorry! :)

Me and the girls again!

Jennifer and Jill getting Alana to perform!
We had such a great night, even though the Angels lost... I forgot there was even a game going on because I was having so much fun with the girls!

Speaking of Gwen Stefani.....

For my birthday Crystal got me tickets to see No Doubt!!!!!!! They are finally back on tour together!! I've followed Gwen since High School and love her music as No Doubt and on her own!! July can't come fast enough!! Thank you Auntie Crystal, I can't wait to go!!!

Summer's on it's way!!!!

This past week I spent most of it feeling sick. Everyone knows I don't EVER get sick, so it was a ruff week for me. Friday night Alana started showing some of the same symptoms as I was so apparently with all my love and kisses to her I passed it right along to her. Saturday came and it was SUCH a beautiful day out, we both needed to get out of the house and get some warm fresh air! It ended up doing us a lot of good! Victor suggested we go to the Santa Ana Zoo. I'd never been there (that I remember, my mom says otherwise). But I thought, for $7 a person it's not so bad. So we took the fam and went. The zoo itself was just worth the $7 we paid to get in, but it was so nice out, it was worth it!

Alana loved to see the Monkey's (Cause that's about the only animal they had)
She spent a lot of time in our arms looking around, but for the most part she didn't feel so great and wasn't up for posing for pictures! But we did have a really nice day because it was so beautiful out!

Tonight Alana is wearing her favorite PJ's. They are the Harajuku Lovers (Gwen's line) PJ's that my ex-boss Nick got for her. After her "vapor bath" she played for a little while in them before heading to bed. Look how cute they are!
They say "I'm just an Orange County Girl"

Out with the old, In with the new!!!

The BIG baby car seat that brought my newborn baby home from the hosptial, that she was tooo tiny for, is now WAY to small for her. It's amazing to me how small she used to be in this carseat! For the first month of her life, I sat right next to her in the seat to make sure her head stayed up and she was comfortable.

She has had many, many great naps in this car seat! People don't give car seat enough credit, but honestly this car seat has kept my Alana Rose safe and comfortable for the last 10 months! Safe from my crazy driving... and the potential risk of any stupid drivers on the road!
This picture is her last ride in it before we move on to the toddler car seat. I'm sure she was having sweet dreams and memories of the last 10 months in her baby car seat! **Tear**

Oh, but now she has a new love for her "Big Girl" car seat! Less then 2 months to go before we turn it around and she will be front facing for a whole new world of possiblities in the car! We splurged on a pretty expensive one because my cousin has one and it's been great for her. It will last Alana through needing a car seat until she can ride on her own in the car! It's been crash tested to high speeds and it still keeps them safe! I believe you get what you pay for! And NOTHING is too much when it comes to Alana's safety!
I know everyone says it with their children and I know everyone's baby turn into a toddler, but it's so different when it's your own! Her first birthday is 49 days away! This year flew by so fast, but it's been the BEST EVER!!!

Cute Pictures!

Last week I spent a little time with my Cousin's daughters that I don't get to see all the time. I'm so lucky to have such sweet little girls in the family!

This is Emily, she had to hug and kiss Alana EVERY chance she got!

This is Madison who was pretending to be scary!

They made me do it, I swear!

Here is Kali, Madison and Emily on Easter! It's weird to think that these girls aren't Alana's "real" cousin's... they are my second cousin's so I'm not sure what they are to Alana, but we'll call them cousins anyway! When they grow up, they will all be a few years older then Alana and I hope they will be close to each other like some of me and my cousin's are!!

Here is Kali in her cute Easter hat and glasses!

Easter and our little Easter bunny!!

I'm going to start off by saying that I always take like 100 pictures and then only post a few... tonight, I'm posting tons because there are TONS of cute ones!!!

We started our Easter morning with the tradition we had when I was young. The "Easter Bunny" came last night and left Alana an Easter basket with some fun stuff in it! When her lazy butt finally woke up around 9:15 we brought her out to her Easter Basket that Grandma Pat put together for her. She loved her summer dresses and everything in it! Thank you mom!

She kissed the ducky that mommy picked out for her as she held her peeps for the camera. She crawled around all morning with that package of peeps in her mouth! (She is my child...)

We got her dressed up in her Easter Dress and took her to Victor's work to meet the Easter Bunny.... But because her lazy butt slept in, we missed him :( But I never pass up an opportunity to take an adorable picture! Every guest we passed at the hotel told us how cute she looked and everyone stopped to gawlk at her!

Then we headed over to Victor's moms house where we were going to have an Easter BBQ with both of our families! Here are the Easter Cupcakes I made!

We took her out of her white dress so she could crawl around the grass.

Ellie loved the tree swing in her cute Easter dress.

Lexie (major white girl) was ready for the sun!

Adorable picture!

Alana and her favoritest Aunt Jacquie.
My (almost) walking girl!

Love for Papa!

Family Easter Picture!

Grandpa Oscar and Grandma Lupe put on an AMAZING BBQ for our family today!

And then we were done.....

We really had SUCH a great Easter Day today! Thank you so much to both of our families for making today so special for Alana! Honestly there is nothing better then spending these beautiful days outside with the love of our families! I hope everyone's Easter was just as great as ours was! It's amazing how having Alana has changed our Holidays and the importance of family!
